The Bathroom Products changing the game in 2019.

25 Aug 2022

As designers, we are always... always... on the lookout for gorgeous, functional and revolutionary products which we can use in our designs. The bathroom industry has been undergoing a huge re-invigoration in the last 10 years as the humble bathroom moved from a utilitarian space to an indulgent design space. This new approach to bathroom design has now blurred the lines between the home bathroom and the home day spa. As the bathroom industry has now shifted to accommodate much more luxurious designer bath objects we are seeing less crazy robotic (and slightly intimidating) modernisations and instead an investment in quality and timeless design. We have curated our list of must-have bathroom products which are changing the game this year and we can't wait to use!

The new ECCENTRIC by Rogerseller Shower Collection.

Reminiscent of Vintage Art Deco microphones, the Eccentric by Rogerseller shower collection is designed to inspire your own best performance.

Featuring distinctly elongated perforations in the shower head design, the proprietary Quad Spray pattern has been carefully engineered to deliver a generous yet soft downpour whilst respecting moderate water consumption ("YES!" to no more huge water bills for you long shower lovers!), with its restricted 9 litre per minute flow rate. Manufactured in Australia from quality machined solid brass and stainless steel, the showers are engineered to stand the test of time, like true eccentric icons; unlike many showers on the market made in plastic with superfluous features.

The AIRLIE Vanity by Loughlin Furniture.

Timber is still an intimidating choice for most in choosing items for their bathroom, which still surprises us! Boats are made out of it after all! When it comes to timber elements in the bathroom, we are huge fans! It adds a natural element to a usually cold space and offers plenty of longevity thanks to modern day waterproofing!

We love the gorgeous attention to detail in the Airlie Vanity by the team at Loughlin Furniture. One of the greatest things about using natural elements is that no two pieces will ever be the same, ensuring your vanity will be uniquely yours.

The SAMPAN Shower/Bath by Apaiser.

Both attractive and clever, the SAMPAN shower bath, created in collaboration with @wohabeing, has very quickly developed a devoted following. This intelligent and versatile design is both shower and shallow bath. Perfect for smaller spaces this piece will enable you to have the best of both worlds without making your space feeling overcrowded.

The Sampan Collection is a superior, high-quality product crafted exclusively in patented material - a luxurious high-performance marble composite enriched with Australian minerals that have become renowned for its natural organic feel and sculptural dexterity. Each Bath is hand finished by skilled craftsmen who spend up to 300 hours perfecting the intricate shapes, smooth curves and sharp angles in a specialised atelier. The overall effect is a visual masterpiece - beautiful works of functioning bathroom art.

The BJORN Mirror Collection available from The Design Hunter.

A mirror has the power to really change the feel of a room. The new colection of Bjorn Mirrors we have curated for online store The Design Hunter is a collection of timeless shapes which help to transform the bathroom. Available in a range of frame finishes makes it easy for you to match your mirror back to your interior scheme.

The OMNI breeze block by Tom Fereday for Earp Bros

OMNI reinvents the traditional breeze block to offer an entirely new approach to building and interior design. By transforming the breeze block form to provide a faceted modular block, OMNI allows for a multitude of new and innovative applications to be built and designed. Offering both straight and 45-degree angles to be achieved simply by flipping the brick, OMNI was designed and proportioned to allow for an array angular forms to be created including but not limited to L shaped walls, undulating surfaces, columns and even coffee, dining and bar tables.

We can see this being incorperated with ease into a Palm Springs style bathroom, however the options are endless!

What is Lorem Ipsum? Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum. Why do we use it? It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using 'Content here, content here', making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for 'lorem ipsum' will uncover many web sites still in their infancy. Various versions have evolved over the years, sometimes by accident, sometimes on purpose (injected humour and the like).
